Life can get mundane anywhere in the world and sometimes you just can’t see the wood for the trees. Sometimes it takes a major change to help you to put things into perspective. A move to Spain might be the inspiration that you need to change your life around. Sometimes getting away from your comfort zone enables you to see things differently and really question what you want out of life. Getting away from the people who know you most and distancing yourself can be freeing. You no longer need to live up to their expectations of how you should live your life, dress, eat etc.
Some might call it running away but I prefer to look upon it as a second chance to do the things that you wouldn’t want to do in your own familiar environment. By coming to Spain, you are in essence born again and able to try new things. These new things could be anything from learning to swim to taking up painting. You may have romantic dreams that you want to chase and this might include joining a dating agency or meeting people through new friends that you make.
Some people might see Spain as a career move to try something new or even set up their own business. It could be that you have a particular talent such as dancing that you have always wanted to teach or a skill that you can use to earn a living from.
It may be that you have always wanted to experience living in a different culture and language and Spain is an easily accessible one and fairly risk free.
Perhaps you are after a lifestyle change. Selling up in the UK and moving to Spain might enable you to downsize and work to live rather than live to work. If you after a more simple lifestyle which you can control more easily then Spain is perfect for you especially if you opt to work for yourself.
Everyone will have their own individual objectives but Spain really does offer the opportunity to break away from the monotony and it needn’t be forever. It could be that you choose to stay for a few years and then finally return with a different, fresh outlook on life. On the other hand, you might love it so much that you decide to stay forever.
